As the Northminster Church family prayerfully upholds the Pastor Nominating Committee in prayer, it would be helpful for you to know a little something about this mighty team of seven servants of the LORD! They were asked three questions:

  • How does your faith in the LORD shape your daily walk with Jesus?
  • What is your ministry involvement at Northminster?
  • Tell us something fun you enjoy!

Here is how each PNC member replied along with their photo! Scroll to the bottom part of the page to participate in the PNC – PRAY NOW CHURCH!

  • Stephen Carpenter

    • My faith shapes my daily walk with Jesus by guiding me to trust in His plan, seek His presence in prayer, and love others with His grace.
    • I am involved in ministry at NPC by attending a Small Group, First Wednesday Dinners, and now being a member of the PNC!
    • I’m an avid Bears fan and I enjoy photography/videography and working in the yard.
  • Pam Garner - Secretary

    • Jesus loved me so much that he sacrificed his life for me SO that I could be freed from my sins and know the hope of eternal life, SO now I have been given the opportunity to give of my time, treasure and talent to share his story with others SO they might know his love for them.
    • I am currently serving in the Care, Mission, and Celebrate Recovery ministries.
    • I love music, can’t play it, but love to sing and listen to it.
  • Randy McCrea - Co-Chair

    • I use the Armor of God from Ephesians 6 as I shower each day, praying for a clean heart and mind and that I face the day with Gods strength.
    • I have been a member of NPC since about 2000, have served on several mission teams, helped lead small groups and previously served on Session as Elder. I am currently in service as a Deacon as well
    • I recently retired from full time work and enjoying family farming and fun! I have been blessed by the opportunity to still share my experience as a physician with CAT allowing me a mission field with all manner of folks!
  • Katie Pruess

    • My faith in Jesus fills me with peace, comfort, joy, and hope daily.
    • I am on the Board of Elders (class of 2024) and I am a volunteer for the Middle School Youth group on Wednesday evenings.
    • I enjoy traveling, taking walks, and playing volleyball.
  • Karen Ring - Co-Chair

    • I once heard a saying, “What you are is God’s gift to you; what you do with it is your gift to God.” This statement shapes how I live out my faith. I can’t ever repay Jesus for His sacrifice and gift to me, but I want my actions to show my gratitude.
    • This is one reason why I do so much at church: I’m an Elder; I’m involved with Great Banquet; I help with the worship Tech Team; and I’m co-chair of the Bereavement Team.
    • In my free time I like to read, puzzle, crochet, and of course spend time with my grandkids!
  • Lori Rohlfing

    • This is the day the Lord has made…I start the day enjoying God’s creations, reading a devotional and open to what the Lord has planned for me.
    • At NPC I am currently one of the high school youth leaders, I am the Dream Center Peoria representative on the mission committee,
    • I am a member of the Admin Committee, and I have been on several of the Yucatan Peninsula Mission trips. I love being outdoors, and one of my favorite activities is kayaking and paddleboarding on our pond.
  • Anna Vandermyde

    • In my season of life with little kids, my faith with Jesus guides my everyday parenting and helps me point back to Him in the little moments.
    • I am happy to be involved in a Women’s Bible study at Northminster, and enjoy plugging into the Wednesday Night Fellowship evenings, Kids Ministry, and holiday events.
    • I enjoy anything to do with the outdoors, including (but not limited to) camping, hiking, and skiing!

Our church is uniting in prayer, called Pray Now Church (PNC), to support the Pastor Nominating Committee Team, the leadership of Northminster Presbyterian Church, and the congregation as we seek God's guidance during this transitional period.

We believe in the power of prayer and its ability to make a difference. Together, let us lift up our prayers, trusting that God hears us and is already working in the hearts of those He is preparing to lead.

PNC time slots are available by clicking on a day of the week and selecting a time slot. Continue prayers until we have called a pastor and into our transition.
